Celebrating Baptisms in November
This November has been such a joyful month for our church family as we celebrated several baptisms here at St Mary’s Church Sholing.
On 16 November, we welcomed Alex, TJ, Poppy, Bethany, Harleigh and their families as they were baptised together. As they were older children, we used our baptism pool - and some bravely chose full submersion as a wonderful sign of entering into the new life that Jesus offers!
Then the following Sunday, we gathered again as little Mia was baptised at the font - a beautiful reminder of God’s love for each and every one of us from the beginning of our lives.
In the Church of England, baptism marks the start of the journey of faith. It is a moment of grace and celebration, as we welcome new members into the family of the Church and pray that they will grow in faith, love, and the knowledge of God’s presence with them always.
Please join us in praying for these children and their families as they continue to walk with Christ.
“May the light of Christ shine in their hearts, today and always.” Revd Garry.
