Last Sunday we had the joy of welcoming a new family into the life of our church through Baptism. A wonderful moment of grace and promise! Yet, it was a little disheartening that only three of our regular members were there to share in it.

When one part of the Body rejoices, all are meant to rejoice with it (1 Corinthians 12:26). Baptism is not a private event but a family celebration, our family celebration! It’s the moment when we say to parents and godparents, “You’re not alone we’re with you on this journey.”

So next time, let’s make sure we’re there to clap, smile, and promise our support together. After all, it’s hard to be the Body of Christ when most of the Body stays at home!
