Remembrance Day Service
Yesterday’s Service of Remembrance was a deeply moving occasion, as more than 200 people gathered to honour those who gave their lives in war and to pray for peace in our world today.
It was especially heartening to see so many young people taking part, including pupils from St Monica School who laid wreaths and read with great dignity and care. Their presence reminded us that the act of remembrance is not only about looking back, but also about passing on the values of peace, courage and hope to a new generation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, helped prepare the service, and stood in silence together. “We will remember them.”
