Afternoon Tea for Our Thursday Cuppa Regulars

Last Friday, the parish hall was filled with laughter, conversation, and the clinking of teacups as we welcomed our Thursday Cuppa regulars for a very special Afternoon Tea.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Joyce, our master planner, who organised the whole event with her usual care and flair. Everyone came together to ensure the tables looked beautiful and the welcome was warm.

A big thank-you to Su Brakewell, who baked the most delicious scones, carrot cake, and lemon drizzle cake – and then kept the tea and coffee flowing all afternoon. Jill Abrahams also deserves special thanks for her wonderful selection of cupcakes, each one as pretty as it was tasty.

We are also deeply grateful to the other volunteers who helped on the day – from setting up tables to serving plates and washing up afterwards. It was a true team effort.

The photos capture the joy and fellowship of the afternoon – good food, good company, and a reminder of the blessing of community.
